Fertiliser Division
Two years after setting up the
flagship company, the group put up Rama Phosphates Ltd. to produce Single Super Phosphate
(SSP) fertiliser. the latest plant in Udaipur will be the first plant in the India to
produce SSP out of beneficated rock phosphate producing extremely superior grade of
fertilisers.
Today the three plants at
Indore, Pune and Udaipur have increased the SSP capacity from 66,000 tpa. to 430,000 tpa.
One of the leading fertilisers, its Girnar and Sunflower brands have become one of the
favorite among the farmers of Maharastra, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
It is also one of the largest producers of SSP
fertilisers in the country today.

In addition, Rama
Phosphates has also started a slovent extraction division for soya, rape and other oil
seeds, in synergy with its diversified activities.
For instance, to tapthe
geographical and locational advantages, the soya division has a plant near Indore in
Madhya Pradesh. It has a solvent extraction capacity of 165,000 tonnes per year, combined
with oil refining capacity of 33,000 tonnes per year.
All its plants have
achieved Zero Pollution by adopting Liquid - Effluent Discharge in deference to its
concern for ecology and environment.
The Soya project of Rama
Phosphates is a part of the group's integration into animal feed project to be set up
under Rainbow Agri - Industries Ltd.
